Sgt. William Carreto, assigned to Bravo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, provides security during a combined cordon and search operation in the Zafaraniyah area of east Baghdad, Iraq, April 7. Soldiers conducted a combined cordon and search operation with Iraqi soldiers in order to reduce sectarian violence, search for insurgents, illegal weapons and ammunition as well as other evidence of insurgent activity.
