180421-N-AT530-0064 NEW ORLEANS (April 21, 2018) Lt. Michael Yenni explains how plastic trash is put into a compress melt unit (CMU) during Navy Week New Orleans (NW NOLA) April 21, 2018. The CMU unit melts and shapes the plastic into discs that are stored for disposal at a later date. Navy Week NOLA provides an opportunity for the citizens of New Orleans and visitors to meet nearly 2,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as see, the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
