Michael Perera, 929 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft armament systems craftsman, arms the lanyard attached to the arming solenoid on a Mark-82 bomb placed on a F-16 Fighting Falcon during a weapons load crew competition July 22, 2011, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Weapons load competitions are conducted quarterly to keep airmen sharp and recognize superior performers. Teams are evaluated for use of the checklist, safety, and overall speed.
