Pacific Ocean, NNS (April 17, 2018) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Sergio Fernandez onboard USS Stockdale (DDG 106) signals to pilots of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 71 to begin blade rotation during an underway Cruiser-Destroyer (CRUDES) Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. Stockdale is one of three CRUDES warships from USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Carrier Strike Group (CSG) completing a CRUDES SWATT exercise. The other ships participating in the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) led exercise are USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) and USS Spruance (DDG 111).
