180419-N-BD308-0029 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 19, 2018) An F-35B Lightning II from the "Green Knights" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 (VMFA-121) lands on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) following a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP) as the guided missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) sails alongside as part of a certification exercise (CERTEX). The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) and Amphibious Squadron 11 are conducting CERTEX as the final evaluation in a series of training exercises which ensures readiness for crisis response throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
