180419-N-YM543-170 YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 19, 2018) - Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Macon Moore, attached to the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), subdues a simulated attacker during the oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray portion of Security Reaction Force Basic (SRF-B) training. During SRF-B training, Sailors learn the weapons handling, self-defense and hand-to-hand combat skills necessary to deal with hostile threats and maintain mission security. Blue Ridge and her crew have now entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
