WASHINGTON (April 19, 2018) -- Adm. Bill Moran, vice chief of naval operations, presents Legalman 1st Class Jean M. Yusten with the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal during the ceremony for the 2017 CNO Shore Sailor of the Year (SOY) at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.. Moran announced Yusten as the 2017 CNO Shore SOY. Yusten will return later in the year to be meritoriously advanced to chief petty officer.
