DETROIT (March 14, 2018) Students from Wayne Metro Middle School make adjustments to their remote operated vehicle during the 2018 Regional Search Competition at Western International High School in Detroit. Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) Midwest Region City Outreach Program in cooperation with the Navy Recruiting District Michigan hosted the Regional SeaPerch Underwater Robotics Challenge qualifier. SeaPerch is an underwater robotics program and one of the science, technology, engineering and math programs sponsors by the Office of Naval Research which allows students to build and operate an underwater remotely operated vehicle.
