Bruno Mediate, Chief, Logistics Plans and Policy, was recognized as the best product support manager in the United States Air Force, Department of Defense. On a visit back to the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., he met with colleagues and looked around the campus like center’s landmarks.
This is how Lt Gen Thompson, SMC’s commander, put it in an email to the base, “Department of Defense award WINNER alert!! Please join me in congratulating Mr. Bruno Mediate, SMC/GP, on his selection as the ACAT I Product Support Manager of the year for the entire DoD! Bruno and his team’s extraordinary work sustaining legacy GPS satellites and ground stations, as well as achieving all-time record GPS performance and service to the world, represent the best of SMC – and the DoD. Bruno’s outstanding work will be recognized at the 2018 Office of the Secretary of Defense Product Support Workshop. Congrats, Bruno – and thanks for making us all…Proud to be, SMC!!
