Educators from New Jersey make a beeline for the door after being exposed to the remaining dust of CS gas during an educators’ workshop March 28, 2018, on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. The gas is a form of tear gas used in recruit training to ensure recruits know how to correctly use their gas masks. The gas irritates the eyes, nose, mouth and lungs of those exposed to it. There is no active gas in the chamber, however, the remaining dust is often enough to effect those walking through the small room. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Gunnery Sgt. J. M. Holmes/released)
