Afghan Border Police Capt. Alijan Semo, (second from right), and a military contractor from Xe Services, (right), answer questions from ABP officers on urban movement techniques in a classroom at the ABP Border Center in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. U.S. Army soldiers assigned to NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan partnered with civilian contractors to instruct ABP in weapons fundamentals, room clearance, establishing road check points and conducting vehicle and foot patrols. The seven-week program is designed to strengthen training for the border police to combat insurgent activity along Afghanistan's 1,200-mile boundary with Pakistan.
