James, tours the Rio Puerto Nuevo, flood risk management project, April 11, 2018, with the Army Corps of Engineers, Antilles Office Command Staff and Project Engineers. Throughout the day James viewed other Army Corps Civil Works projects on the island including, Caño Martín Peña, environmental restoration project currently under preliminary engineering and design phase and Rio De La Plata flood control project and the San Juan Harbor Improvements, a navigation project currently finishing feasibility study in the fiscal year 2018 among many others. The Civil Works Program of the Army Corps of Engineers focuses on responsible development, protection and restoration of the Nation's water and related land resources.
