Cory Ballentine, a forward observer with B Company, 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, pulls security outside of an Iraqi police station in Haqlaniyah in Iraq's Anbar province on July 13. Paratroopers with B Company, 2/325 AIR secured the area while 2/82 military police taught a class to the Haqlaniyah IPs. Ballentine is a native of Benson, N.C. As one of the few units to have taken part in every major campaign of the U.S. military's operations in Iraq, the 2/82 has been tasked with strengthening the Iraqi Security Forces as they work to maintain a safe and secure environment for the Iraqi people as the 2/82 leads the transition of U.S. Forces out of Iraq.
