As part of Operation Proper Exit, wounded veterans visit members of Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan Aug. 4, 2018. During their visit to BAF, the participants visited various squadrons to include the Craig Joint Theater Hospital and an F-16 Fighting Falcon static display. OPE, under the Troop's First Foundation, grants wounded veterans the unique opportunity to get closure, from their incident, by traveling to the battlefield and leaving on their own accord. The OPE participants traveled throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility speaking in town hall meetings about their journey from injury to recovery.
