MCGREGOR, Texas – (April 6, 2018) Round Rock, Texas, native Aviation Support Equipment Technician 1st Class Tommy Tran, a crew chief assigned to the Navy's flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, visited McGregor High School during Waco Navy Week to speak with students about his career and how America’s Navy benefited him and his family. The Blue Angels are in Waco for the Heart of Texas Airshow, April 7-8, and are celebrating their 72nd anniversary of flying excellence. Waco Navy Week brings Sailors from different units across the United States to conduct focused outreach events with members of the community. Waco Navy Week is the 2nd of 14 Navy weeks in 2018 that focus a variety of assets, equipment and personnel on a single city for a week-long series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects.
