PATROL BASE FAHEEM, Helmand province, Afghanistan - Lance Cpl. Gregor M. Phillips, a designated marksman and point man for 3rd Platoon, Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, observes a compound potentially being used by enemy fighters in the district of Sangin, Afghanistan, June 26. Phillips is also a point man for the squad and protects the improvised explosive device sweeper. Phillips, 22, is from Lancaster, Pa., and graduated from Pequea Valley High School in 2006.
