Retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. Richard Rothwell, president of the Camp Pendleton Historical Society (CPHS), speaks at the dedication of an 1890 Conestoga wagon at the Santa Margarita Ranch House on Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 2, 2018. The wagon, donated by CPHS and crafted by retired U. S. Army Lt.Col. Andy Brochu, master wheelwright, replaces one presented to the commanding general of Camp Pendleton in 1987 by the Padre Juniper Serra Riders in appreciation for preserving the western heritage of the rancho.
