Coast Guard, partner agencies rescue 8 people from water 14 miles east of North Miami Beach
The Coast Guard Cutter William Flores stands by to assist as two commercial salvage boatcrews assist the 65-foot motor vessel, Siempre Sonando, that was taking on water approximately 14 miles east of North Miami Beach Friday, March 30, 2018. Coast Guard watchstanders received an emergency position indicating radio beacon and a distress call over VHF-FM radio channel 16 from the motor vessel stating they were abandoning ship with eight people.
