RENO, NV - 4-year-old Laren Brooks Leuschel and 6-year-old Gunner Leushchel from Greenville, South Carolina speak with Sgt. Angel Laracuente, a supply Marine for 12th Marine Corps District, at the Women in Aviation, International’s (WAI) 29th Annual Symposium in Reno, Nevada, March 23. Marines attended WAI to generate awareness for career opportunities in the Marine Corps while engaging with highly-qualified individuals and key influencers. The WAI’s 29th symposium falls on the 100 year anniversary of female service in the United States Marine Corps, a milestone celebrated by female aviators and Marines alike. Laren and Gunner came with their mother, Cara Leuschel, a maintenance pilot who said she wants her children to witness the strength and capability women possess.
