PITTSBURGH – An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Marine teaches an engineering student about the MK-2 Mod 1 Talon robot used in improvised explosive device (IED) detection during the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) 44th National Convention at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, March 22. NSBE is a nonprofit organization which supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology. The organizations mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
