The Coast Guard repatriated 18 Dominican migrants to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic the morning of March 23, 2018, following two at-sea interdictions by Caribbean Border Interagency Group law enforcement authorities March 20, 2018 just off Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. In addition to the 18 migrants that were repatriated, eight of the interdicted migrants, who were men and also of Dominican nationality, are facing potential federal criminal immigration charges for attempted illegal reentry into a U.S. Territory.
