U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Joseph Burris, 145th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, sits in the pilot seat of a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft for a high vantage point to spot any obstacles while the airframe is towed into the hanger at the North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG) Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, March 21, 2018. The 437th Airlift Wing from Joint Base Charleston, S.C., flew in to aid the NCANG in transiting to the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft by providing their airframe for towing practice into the hanger. This is the first time a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft has been towed into the hanger, and the maintenance crew took every precaution to ensure proper clearances and safety measures were taken.
