Jerry Byrom, 20th Medical Group emergency medical technician, served at the emergency room at the Landstuhl Medical Center, in Landstuhl, Germany for a year before arriving to Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. Byrom provided safe and expeditious driving during a cardiac arrest event on Feb. 12, 2018, ensuring the patient made it to the hospital as quickly and safely as possible.
