GRAFENWOEHR, Germany-- On a cold and windy afternoon, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter from 2-227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, provide air support for Battery B, 4th Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, March 20, 2018 during a platoon level live fire qualification air assault artillery raid. Air assault missions allow field artillerymen to move quickly on the battlefield in order to conduct suppression of enemy aerial defense missions or (SEAD). (U.S. Army photo by Charles Rosemond)
