Navy Cmdr. Scott Johnson (left), the U.S. Embassy Military Liaison officer, and Maj. Lesley Nojodipo of the Suriname army, have a discussion following the graduation of Class 11-01 here, June 29. Class 11-01, a group of soldiers from the Suriname army, trained on an array of security force techniques, tactics, and procedures during the New Horizons 2011 training exercise. New Horizons is a cooperative humanitarian mission between the Suriname government and the United States Southern Command with the goal of helping to improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
