A photo of a young Chief Master Sgt. Richard L. Etchberger is displayed at the 50th Anniversary memorial service of Lima Site 85, on Gunter Annex Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, March 12. 2018. Lima Site 85 was the location of a covert operation during the Vietnam War where 12 individuals went missing or lost their lives fighting the enemy, including Chief Etchberger who was killed during extraction, bestowed the Medal of Honor posthumously in 2010, for his heroic actions that saved three lives that day.
