This Wiffle ball was presented to Col. John E. Shanklin Jr., chief adviser of the last Research, Development and Engineering Command’s Science and Technology Assistance Team in Iraq, during the team’s farewell ceremony here June 25, as a memento of the fun the team had playing Wiffle ball games for physical training. Shanklin was given the nickname Dr. Scientist by his peers in the unit.
