PHILIPPINE SEA (March 8, 2018) Quartermaster First Class Melvin Noble, left, explains how to read degrees, minutes and seconds markings on the marine sextant to Quartermaster Seaman Isabella Montano aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65). Benfold is underway participating in exercise MultiSail 2018, a bilateral training exercise improving interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese Forces. This exercise benefits from realistic, shared training enhancing our ability to work together to confront any contingency.
