180307-N-NM917-143 YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 7, 2018) - Information Systems Technician 3rd Class Carla Vallejos, from Oakland, Ca., maintains a primary fire boundary during a main space fire drill aboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). During a real-world casualty Boundary man are strategically positioned in order to monitor or prevent the spread of fire, flooding or smoke. Blue Ridge and her crew have now entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
