Capt. Allan M. Stratman, commodore of Task Force Overlord, speaks with soldiers assigned to the 309th Mobility Augmentation Company, 863d Engineer Battalion, after they were awarded Purple Heart medals. The 12 soldiers were wounded in improvised explosive device strikes on their route clearance vehicles. The units support Task Force Overlord in Afghanistan. The task force, led by Seabees assigned to the 25th Naval Construction Regiment, is responsible for construction and construction engineering in southern, southwestern and western Afghanistan.
