Students from local elementary schools learn math and science at a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) event at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. This event had medical center staff teaching kids how to use skills, technology, and problem solving that they use themselves in their own work environments. “I love that kids get to come here and learn all this math and science and realize what they learn today is something they could do for a living in the future,” said Hospital Corpsman Second Class Lissa Bowman, one of the leading organizers for this event.
