U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contracting specialist, Alan Inglis waves the green flag signaling to students of DeSales High School in Walla Walla, WA that they were on their way to passing engineering muster after placing the 6th tennis ball in the weighing sack. Students worked together on a building a paper tower for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, E Week Competition “Towering Above the Imagination.” Students throughout, Walla Walla, College Place and Pendleton Middle and High School participated in the Corps competition from February 20th to the 26th engineers from Corps district were in the classrooms introducing engineering concepts to students and teachers, using hands-on projects to connect them to real-world careers in STEM.
