In front of a three-nation formation, at an opening ceremony for a combined-forces exercise with Serbia and Bulgaria, Cpl. Michael J. Harding, Placerville, Calif., native and a rifleman with Black Sea Rotational Force 11, gets the opportunity to raise the U.S. flag alongside the national colors to officially begin a cooperative training evolution. BSRF-11 will be working with the Serbian and Bulgarian troops in Novo Selo training area in counterinsurgency and peacekeeping operations to advise and build the military training capacities of these nations.
