During a foreign weapons familiarization with Bulgarian and Serbians soldiers, Sgt. Steven Encinias, rifleman and native of Albuquerque, N.M., Black Sea Rotational Force 11, swaps his M4 carbine service rifle for an AK-47 assault rifle to give a Bulgarian soldier the opportunity to get acquainted with shooting a combat marksmanship range with a U.S. weapon. The Ground Combat Element of BSRF-11 conducted counterinsurgency and peacekeeping operations with Bulgarians and Serbians to work with foreign soldiers and build the military capacities of partner nations.
