A radio-controlled, ultra-light aircraft controlled by the 2017 Air Force Research Laboratory Commander’s Challenge team from Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., flies over a training area Feb. 27, 2018, at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, as part of the teams demonstration. The ultra-light aircraft carried a crate containing an autonomous vehicle with supplies, which was dropped by parachute with the hope it would be able to make its own way to a rendezvous point.
