Recruits with Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, climb an obstacle during the Confidence Course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 13 Many of the obstacles test the recruits’ confidence and mental strength in overcoming the challenges before them. Drill instructors monitored the recruits’ progress to make sure they were maneuvering through the obstacles the right way. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate April 13.
