U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Zion Adkins, a native of Rockport, Texas, is a structural apprentice with 18th Civil Engineering Squadron, 18th Civil Engineer Group, and is working alongside Royal Thai Air Force, Indian Army, and Malaysian Army forces to construct a school building in support of Exercise Cobra Gold 2018 at Bankhaotien School in Lopburi, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 9, 2018. "So we do this thing called 'pocket rocks.' When someone's working or not paying attention, we'll go up behind them and put rocks in their pockets. Pocket rock. And I think it's funnier, because if they didn't take the rocks out during the day, then they're going home at night and they have a pocket full of rocks. Or like you see somebody pull a rock out of their pocket, and they're like, 'Who did this?'" The combat engineers from multiple nations used humor, translators, and shared knowledge of construction to complete new buildings on school grounds in about a month's time. Cobra Gold 18 is an annual exercise conducted in the Kingdom of Thailand which runs from Feb. 13-23 with seven full participating nations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Matthew J. Bragg)
