Hershel “Woody” Williams, a retired United States Marine Corps warrant officer, holds up his Medal of Honor Feb. 16, 2018 at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. Williams was awarded the Medal for his actions during the Battle of Iwo Jima, during World War II. Williams also talked about some of the requirements to be considered for the Medal, which includes being recommended by an officer and having at least two witnesses that were there.
