Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) announced the 2017 Sea, Shore and Reserve Sailor of the Year at an awards ceremony on February 8. Intelligence Specialist 1st Class (IW) Chad Murray, assigned to Naval Reserve Office of Naval Intelligence Unit 0566 was announced as the 2017 Reserve Sailor of the Year. Aerographers Mate 1st Class (IW/SW) Pedro Henry, assigned to Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Professional Development Center was announced as the 2017 Shore Sailor of the Year. Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 1st Class (IW/SW/AW) Brandon Sneyd, assigned to Naval Information Operations Command, San Diego was announced as the 2017 Sea Sailor of the Year. NAVIFOR’s Force Master Chief David Carter, Deputy Commander Mr. Matthew Swartz and Chief of Staff Capt. William Chase presented the Sailor of the Year plaques.
