    NORFOLK (Feb. 5, 2018) Machinistís Mate (Auxiliary) 1st Class Robin Anderson, a native of Centennial, Colo., assigned to USS North Dakota (SSN 784), Submarine Force Atlantic 2017 Sea Sailor of the Year candidate is carried during a physical training competition held at the Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads gym. The Sailor of the Year program was established in 1972 by the Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Elmo Zumwalt and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy John Whittet to recognize an individual Sailor who best represented the ever-growing group of dedicated professional Sailors at each command and ultimately the Navy.
