180209-N-SF984-0033 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 09, 2018) Boatswain's Mate Seaman Apprentice Dahjal Maloney of Queens, N.Y., and Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Ariella Mitroff of San Diego, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), reach to attach a cargo hook to an MH-60 Seahawk during flight operations on the ship's flight deck. Dewey, along with USS Sterett (DDG 104), will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group deployment in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
