Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, explain the different components of the combat operations center to Brigadier General David W. Maxwell, the commanding general of 2nd MLG at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, Calif., Feb. 7, 2018. The visit enabled Maxwell to observe the well-being and readiness of the unit preceding their training iteration where they learned survival skills, how to traverse mountainous terrain and cold weather weapons maintenance. The training will prepare the Marines for joint-force training exercise Arctic Edge in northern Alaska, which will expose Marines to the peninsula’s extreme weather. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
