    YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan – Army aviators from United States Army Aviation Battalion-Japan, with their UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters, flew Vice President Michael R. Pence while on his second trip to Japan today (Feb. 8). The call sign of the UH-60L became ARMY TWO when the vice president boarded the helicopter for a trip from downtown Tokyo to Yokota Air Base in the western suburbs of the city. The aviators flying the vice president were Lt. Col. Bryan Jones, USAAB-J commander; Chief Warrant Officer 4 Chris Purser; and Spc. Taylor Davis. The Army aviators had recently supported Pence’s first trip to Japan last year as well as the recent trip by President Donald Trump. Pence stopped in Japan were he met Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera and other government officials. At Yokota he met with an assembly of military service members, civilians and families before departing for South Korea. The UH-60s of USAAB-J are based at Camp Zama.
