Gunnery Sgt. John P. Vinlove and Petty Officer 1st Class George G. Marinez attaches a hoist cable to a rescue seat during the first of the Marine Transport Squadron 1 search and rescue certification testing in the Croatan National Forest, June 3. The test consisted of a Search and Rescue Exercise in the Croatan National Forest and swimmer deployment exercise at Fort Macon. Marinez is a search and rescue corpsman, and Vinlove is a flight line division chief with VMR-1 and is training as a rescue swimmer.
