Pfc. The 21-year-old campground maintenance worker from Lancaster, Penn., has been in the Army National Guard for about two years, and the 28th ID’s upcoming deployment to the Middle East will be his first. “It’s exciting. It’s nerve-wracking. It’s my first time leaving the country and the first time I left home for a while; the last time was when I went to basic (training)," he said. "My immediate workers and section are great people; I love all of them. They’re like family to me.”
