ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 03, 2018) Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Thomas Mason, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), performs maintenance on an MH-60R Sea Hawk assigned to the Proud Warriors of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 72. Bulkeley is underway as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG) Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), which evaluates the strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea - ultimately certifying the HSTCSG for deployment.
