Maj. Mark Crimaldi, deputy commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Recovery Field Office-Puerto Rico, recognized St. Paul District's Jennifer Leal, who completed her second deployment to Puerto Rico as an internal review officer in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency-led Hurricane Maria / Hurricane Irma response and recovery effort. Her two deployments total 55 days and she expects to return to Puerto Rico within weeks.
Within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, internal review officers observe employees during mission execution to gain an understanding of their tasks and provide suggestions for process improvement and efficiency.
Leal is a resident of Woodbury, Minnesota.
