Maj. Mark Crimaldi, deputy commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Recovery Field Office(RCO)-Puerto Rico, recognized Savannah District's Donna Carter, who deployed to Puerto Rico for 23 days as an internal review officer in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency-led Hurricane Maria / Hurricane Irma response and recovery effort.
The RCO is managing temporary power, temporary roofing, debris and critical public facilities projects that are assisting residents and essential services to begin recovering from the September 2017 hurricanes. Within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, internal review officers observe employees during mission execution to gain an understanding of their tasks and provide suggestions for process improvement and efficiency.
Carter is a resident of Savannah, Georgia.
