Cpl. Michael Doss, a Marine Attack Squadron 513 airframes mechanic and San Diego native, walks the wing of one of the squadron's AV-8B Harriers after performing a maintenance check on it at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, June 1. For some squadron Marines, the most rewarding part of the job is simply seeing the jet take off. "When we see it go out with loaded bombs and come back with nothing, it's knowing we helped the guys on the ground," said Doss.
