SAN DIEGO (Feb. 2, 2018) Capt. Rome Ruiz, commander of Amphibious Squadron 3, greets his family during the homecoming of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is returning from a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East.
